Welcome to Crash Bang Music!
"Crash Bang Music" delivers fun and interactive music workshops for all ages and abilities. Working in and around Central Scotland the Crash Bang team have created a series of music workshops that aim to give participants encouragement and confidence in their own musical skills. Through the designed workshops the Crash Bang team aim to introduce children to music in a fun interactive setting. We aspire to stimulate the imagination of all involved but also aid essential development of social skills.
The three members of the Crash Bang Music team - Susan, Rory and Mike - are all University of Strathclyde graduates in Applied Music. During their studies they were involved in a number of community placements and courses to develop teaching skills. Since graduating in 2005 they have used their acquired skills in their work for North Lanarkshire Council delivering music workshops in schools and community centres. Through this experience they have created and developed their own form of music workshops.
The Crash Bang Music team are working to bring music to schools, nurseries, day centres and any available hall across the central belt of Scotland. There are two types of workshop to choose from.
- Scrap Heap Drumming - uses general household objects to create music.
- Music Time - uses techniques including Colour Strings and Kodaly music and is taught through singing, movement and visual cues.
